Senior Brand Manager - 12-Month Parental Leave Contract

Partner with the Head of Marketing for Packaged Bread & Sandwich Alternatives to design and implement innovative marketing strategies for the Abbott’s Bakery brand and its extensive bread portfolio, propelling our growth ambitions. In this influential role, you will also guide and inspire an Assistant Brand Manager, fostering their development and contributing to our team's success.

  • Innovative Marketing: Proactively initiate, develop, and deliver marketing plans across various media/channels, including communication development.
  • Relationship Builder: Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with agency partners, internal stakeholders, and team members.
  • Insightful Strategist: Ability to generate consumer insights from research and apply             them to strategy and plan development.
  • Creative Thinker: Strong strategic thinker who challenges the status quo and thinks outside the box.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills.
  • Financial Acumen: Sound understanding of business financials.
  • Analytical Skills: High competency in using Aztec and other analytical resources to analyse brand performance and health.
  • Brand Champion: Energetic approach that champions the brand and customer within the business, with a track record of delivering on commitments and making long-term decisions for the business's health.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field with a marketing focus.
  • At least 3 years of FMCG experience, with a minimum of 3 years in Brand Management.
  • Proactive in initiating solutions and activities, and taking the initiative to implement plans.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with agency partners, internal stakeholders, and team members.
  • Ability to generate consumer insights from research and apply them to discussions and reports.
  • Creative and enthusiastic, championing premium brands throughout the business.
