Sales Finance Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Finance Manager to join our Commercial Finance team. Based in North Ryde, this role will support our Sales teams for all of Tip Top Australia. A leadership role and operational business partner, the role is accountable for forecasting, commercial analysis, pricing, demand planning, trade spend management, joint business plans, pay by scan gap initiatives and business support to enable the team to make effective decisions and deliver on business goals and objectives.  

Purpose of the role

The primary purpose of the role is to lead the Sales Finance Team and maintain insightful reporting for the Commercial Finance Team while business partnering with the Sales & Marketing teams.

  • Provide commercial analysis and support to the channel decision-making process with specific emphasis around pricing and promotional investments
  • Support the delivery of business goals and objectives by being the key commercial business partner for Sales initiatives
  • Deliver monthly financial results and participate in business goal setting and strategic plan development including insightful and timely month end reporting for Commercial Finance
  • Lead and facilitate the Strategic Planning, Annual Operating Plan (budget) and periodic Forecasting processes for relevant accounts, ensuring clarity of assumptions and robustness of plans
  • Supports the Head of Commercial Finance in providing high level strategic and commercial support to the Sales team
  • Proactively support the Tip Top growth agenda, providing commercial insight/ evaluation support and analysis including financial modelling, data analytics and Business Case development to facilitate decision making
  • Demonstrate constructive leadership, building a team of accountable people who can deliver the business goals
  • Supporting digital initiatives including use of Business Intelligence tools to drive better insights and reporting efficiencies.  

About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant business experience >10 years with background in commercial finance and demand management
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to mix professionally and build effective relationships at all levels internally and externally
  • Exceptional business partnering skills with specific skills in change management and strategic planning
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in team engagement, cultural change and process improvement
