In this role you’ll lead the Food Safety & Quality agenda across our Chullora, Springwood, Carrara and Townsville sites. Reporting to the Head of Quality & Regulatory Affairs ANZ, you’ll be a key member of the regional leadership team, fostering strong collaborative relationships with our leaders, customers and business partners. You will drive a culture of excellence, customer engagement and continuous improvement.
This role will be required to travel to other sites regularly as required.
Purpose of the Role
- Providing guidance to drive Food Safety & Quality Culture, ensuring food safety, and quality and safety (health) standards are maintained
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders cross functionally and divisionally (other GWF Business Units) ensuring effective collaboration
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging open communication and feedback
- Lead and inspire a team of quality and compliance professionals to achieve exceptional results
- Drive strategic initiatives aligned with Tip Top’s Balanced Business Plan
- Support training, audits, reporting and escalation processes across sites
- Partner with major customers (e.g. Coles, Woolworths, QSR clients) to meet and exceed expectations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer and internal standards (e.g. HACCP, BRC/SQF, WQA, YUM)
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field
- Min 5-7 years experience in the food industry, ideally across multiple sites would be highly regarded
- Proven leadership in quality systems, compliance and team engagement
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- A proactive, organised and collaborative approach to problem-solving
- Ability to effectively communicate/work with customers at various levels (e.g. Coles, Woolworths, Foodservice)
- Discipline in Food Safety, Quality Management (BRC/SQF, Coles, WQA, YUM, HACCP, Hungry Jack’s Standards and equivalents)
- Knowledge of industry standards/requirements and conversant with Regulatory Bodies (Health Authorities – State/National etc)
