Production Supervisor

Our bakery in Charmhaven is looking for a Production Supervisor (internally known as Senior Manufacturing Technician) to manage, guide and engage a team. Reporting to the Site Leader, this role will lead and direct shift activities within the production facility ensuring products are made within specification in a safe, efficient manner. 

 

Purpose of the Role

 

The purpose of this role is to utilise optimal levels of labour and materials to ensure orders are produced in full and on time by taking a “hands on” approach to the Management and Coordination of team members.
•    Foster and maintain overall operation and long-term sustainable performance of the people and processing facility.
•    Comply with all health and safety requirements, directions and legislation and work in accordance with the company quality systems and other appropriate quality measures
•    Meet or improve financial performance against budgeted controllable costs.
•    Ensure strong communication is maintained with our people and promote an open, flexible work environment while complying with all company policies, procedures and directions.
•    Form a partnership with production planning to achieve maximum plant utilisation including making recommendations and where necessary changing the production plan in line with customer and company requirements.
•    Identify and actively promote continuous improvement to product, processes and systems within any facet of the work environment
•    Inspire your team to reach their full potential by providing recognition as well as constructive feedback on a regular basis

About You


The ideal candidate will have: 
•    Strong ability to build effective internal and external working relationships at all levels
•    Proven experience leading, coaching and/or developing a team
•    Experience working in a high paced work environment
•    Food background is advantageous 
•    SAP experience would be ideal
•    Effective communication and influencing capability
•    Strong safety mindset in all facets of work
