Your Role:
As a Product Development Technologist, you will be at the heart of our innovation efforts, working closely with the Product Development Team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Material Evaluation: Assess new raw materials and manage all related documentation.
- Recipe Development: Design and test recipes, including sensory and shelf-life evaluations.
- Driving Innovation: Implement new ingredients, recipes and processes to meet evolving consumer needs.
- Product Renovation: Optimise existing products to keep them competitive and relevant.
- Building Relationships: Foster strong internal and external relationships to drive innovation.
About You:
- Relevant Qualifications: Formal baking/technology and/or Food Science tertiary qualification.
- Experience: 2+ years in commercial food manufacturing, preferably in bakery and FMCG.
- Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of ingredients and bakery processes.
- Willingness to Travel: Ready to travel interstate for bakery trials.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Good working knowledge of FSANZ.
- Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and proactive communication.
- Multitasking Ability: Capable of managing multiple projects under pressure.
- Autonomy and Influence: Ability to work independently, influence stakeholders, and meet deadlines consistently.
