Maintenance Supervisor

Reporting to the Site Leader, we are currently seeking a Reliability Supervisor based at our Charmhaven site. Working hours will be on a Monday – Friday roster, with shifts between 7am-7pm. This role is a crucial member of the site management team and plays a major part in driving operational excellence, team engagement, cost reduction and productivity.  


As a Supervisor, this role will lead, direct and prioritise reliability activities for the facility ensuring production and product quality standards are maintained within a safe, efficient manner utilising optimal levels of human resource to maximise machine reliability. This will be done by taking a “hands on” approach to supervision and the coordination of your team members. 


Purpose of the Role
•    Ensure effective handover between shifts by having detailed discussion with the incoming/outgoing maintenance team ensuring each shift has been set up for success
•    Attend the various breakdowns across the site and provide support to investigation and address the concern
•    Foster and maintain overall operation and long-term sustainable performance of the people and processing facility
•    Ensure a safe working environment by complying with all health, safety and environment requirements, directions and legislation and work in accordance with the company quality systems and other appropriate quality measures 
•    Ensure good communication is maintained with staff and promote an open, flexible work environment while complying with all company policies, procedures, and directions
•    Liaise professionally with internal and external customers, suppliers, and vendors
•    Form a partnership with production to problem solve and achieve maximum plant utilisation to effectively carry out planned proactive reliability activities
•    Identify and actively promote continuous improvement and machine development within the machine reliability function
•    Address staff performance issues as required utilising appropriate company procedures

About You

The ideal candidate will have: 
•    Min 5+ years in a maintenance supervisory role in a FMCG environment will be highly regarded
•    Licenced Electrical trade qualified or degree in Electrical Engineering required
•    Working knowledge and experience of PLC Programming is essential
•    Demonstrated effectiveness in team engagement, cultural change and process improvement
•    Highly organised, able to think strategically as well as problem solve
•    Strong ability to build effective internal and external working relationships at all levels
•    Strong adherence to focus on safety (food safety and people safety)
