Hygiene & Site Services Manager

As the Hygiene & Site Services Manager at our Chullora bakery, you'll play a critical leadership role in ensuring our site meets the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, compliance and operational excellence.

 

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, you'll lead the Hygiene team while overseeing key site services including pest control, chemical management, sanitation programs, contractor management, security and site compliance activities. This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who enjoys being close to operations, developing teams and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced FMCG environment

 

Purpose of the Role

  • Lead and develop the Hygiene & Site Services team to deliver safe, efficient and compliant operations
  • Drive hygiene and sanitation programs across the bakery, ensuring food safety and quality standards are maintained
  • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE requirements and legislation
  • Manage site services including pest control, chemical management, uniforms, security and specialist contractors
  • Support site audits, GMP programs and quality initiatives while maintaining robust hygiene standards
  • Deliver labour efficiency and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvement
  • Develop SOPs, risk assessments and training programs for hygiene activities
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles to improve site performance

 

About You

 

You are an experienced operations leader with a strong background in FMCG manufacturing and a passion for driving food safety, hygiene and team performance.

 

You'll bring:

  • 5+ years' leadership experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, hygiene and food safety requirements
  • Demonstrated success building a positive safety culture and driving safe work practices
  • Experience leading teams, managing performance and developing capability
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • A continuous improvement mindset with proven problem-solving capability
  • The ability to influence outcomes, navigate change and build strong relationships across operations
