We are looking for a Food Safety & Quality Business Partner for our Charmhaven site. Reporting into the Food Safety & Quality Manager, the candidate will be responsible for coordinating, maintaining and continuously improving the site Quality Management Systems at the Charmhaven bakery, ensuring compliance with internal standards, customer requirements and regulatory obligations with support from the team.

 

This person will also play a key role in strengthening food safety and quality culture across the site by partnering with site leaders and team members to promote accountability, continuous improvement and best practice in quality and food safety standards.

Purpose of the Role

 

The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate and maintain the site quality management systems with a focus on ensuring internal and external compliance requirements.

 

  • Ensure product food safety and quality standards are met
  • Working collaboratively with the site team to achieve targets and milestones in Food Safety & Quality
  • Maintain site quality management systems and general administrative duties
  • Support the QA Manager with managing onsite audits
  • Compile accurate and timely reports to site and management
  • Assisting with investigations, risk assessments during Food Safety Incident Reporting and Customer Complaint investigations

 

About You

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Food industry background and/or bakery industry will be highly regarded
  • Tertiary Qualification in Food Science or equivalent qualification
  • Highly collaborative approach with strong communication skills
  • Stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
