Distribution Supervisor

As a Distribution Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products reach our customers efficiently and safely. Based at our Chullora bakery, this role will lead shift activities within our distribution network and ensure timely departures of trucks, managing driver and distributor performance, complying with health and safety requirements, and maintaining effective communication with staff and other departments.

 

Purpose of the Role
•    Lead and coach team members and distributors, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment
•    Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
•    Maintain up-to-date driver rosters and truck schedules, maximising truck utilization.
•    Support customer service by addressing complaints and ensuring timely communication regarding deliveries
•    Ensure adherence to food safety, legality, and quality requirements
•    Manage day-to-day scheduling of the linehaul network and liaise with 3PL providers
•    Oversee servicing and maintenance of the fleet to ensure road safety

 

About You

The ideal candidate will have: 

•    2+ years in a similar supervisory role within transport & logistics (FMCG food industry will be highly regarded)
•    SAP or systems experience with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
•    Chain of Responsibility (COR) training & knowledge
•    Effective communication and relationship-building skills
•    Proven experience in process improvement and change management
