The Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Applications Manager on a Max Term basis. In this role you will be responsible for managing the support for the GWF SAP systems and providing governance for the GWF business applications, either directly or by influencing application owners. You will lead the applications operations team and work closely with service providers to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably, with minimal disruption to essential GWF business activities.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be involved with:
• Manage the operations for the GWF SAP systems, ensuring system support meets the agreed service levels and business expectations.
• Lead the team, ensure effective management of day-to-day support services, and provide leadership in incident resolution and system change management.
• Provide governance for GWF business applications in accordance with the ownership model & RACI.
• Ensure the transition from project to support is well managed and new services are embedded effectively into operations.
• Work effectively with business application owners and stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.
About You
- Proven experience in managing operations for SAP system; ideally you have a functional or technical background in SAP.
- Strong understanding of application governance and support for critical business applications in fast moving consuming goods industries.
- Have a proactive attitude, be a self-starter and have demonstrated ability to identify and implement opportunities for support process and system improvements.
- Excellent team management and people management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with business application owners and stakeholders.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
