Warehouse Supervisor

Purpose of the Role

 

We are looking for our next Warehouse Supervisor for our Truganina site. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for staff management and ensuring the distributor, company and feeder (Truck) loads are picked accurately in a timely, cost effective and safe manner as well as ensure there are adequate supplies of clean crates and dollies in accordance with GWF policies and procedures.

 

You will also provide a safe working environment with all team members committed to adherence to the OH&S Policy.

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with production and distribution teams to ensure timely product availability and accurate load preparation.
  • Coordinate and ensure sufficient crates and dollies for production/warehouse requirements on a daily basis.
  • Lead and develop the team through clear communication, regular meetings, and performance management.
  • Maintain rosters, control Labor costs, and ensure accurate processing of time cards and system updates.
  • Enforce food safety, legality, and quality standards, reporting and addressing non-conforming products promptly.
  • Drive health and safety compliance and continuous improvement to maintain a safe and risk-controlled workplace.

 

About You

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Warehouse Supervisor in production, FMCG, or manufacturing, with strong knowledge of end-to-end warehouse and supply chain operations.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and manage teams in a fast-paced environment with a focus on engagement, performance, and accountability.
  • Strong understanding of labour management, including rostering, time and attendance, overtime control, and cost management.
  •  Thorough knowledge of workplace health and safety, manual handling practices, and vehicle safety in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
  • Awareness of food safety, quality, legality, and compliance obligations, including managing non-conforming products.
  • Experience with warehouse systems and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, WMS, Kronos/UKG), plus strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
