Capital Projects Engineer

• Own and deliver high-value capital projects from concept through to commissioning
• 12-month fixed term contract with potential to transition into a permanent role
• Dandenong VIC site based role

Tip Top is seeking an experienced Capital Projects Engineer to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract covering parental leave. With a strong pipeline of capital investment initiatives across our network, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while positioning yourself for future opportunities within the business.

Reporting to the Capital Projects Manager, you'll lead the end-to-end delivery of capital projects, helping modernise manufacturing operations, improve productivity and drive operational excellence across our Victorian sites and broader network. This role involves both interstate and local travel across Victorian sites, and may have occasional international travel.

Purpose of the Role

• Deliver capital projects safely, on time, on budget and to specification, meeting business requirements
• Provide support to the National Engineering project team (Southern Region) as required
• Engage all stakeholders through the project lifecycle to ensure robust project scope development
• Provide project and engineering support to the manufacturing sites including; feasibility studies, business case development, project planning, project implementation, contractor management, and commissioning and training.
• Prepare layout and process drawings for planning, construction & installation of new equipment and manufacturing facilities
• Follow internal systems and best practice project management methodologies to execute projects with excellence, meeting time, quality and cost targets
• Support continual improvement of our procedures and systems, to maintain best practice including Health and Safety, Food Safety and Environmental and Energy management as they relate to this role.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum 3+ years’ relevant experience within a FMCG food manufacturing industry will be highly regarded
• Ideally Degree qualification in Engineering or related discipline
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
• Highly motivated and the ability to work in teams
• Stakeholder engagement/influencing skills with demonstrated ability to mix professionally, and build effective relationships at all levels internally and externally
• Hands on project management experience
• Ability to articulate project scopes into compelling business cases and to present to all levels and at different forums
