Capital Projects Engineer

We are currently looking for a Capital Project Engineer to be based at our Dandenong VIC site. Reporting to the Capital Projects Manager, this hands-on role is responsible for the development and safe execution of nominated capital projects, as well as working in a team environment with larger projects, and facilitating change management to ensure sustainable benefits. This role involves both interstate and local travel across Victorian sites, as well as occasional international travel.

 


Purpose of the Role
•    Deliver capital projects safely, on time, on budget and to specification, meeting business requirements
•    Provide support to the National Engineering project team (Southern Region) as required
•    Engage all stakeholders through the project lifecycle to ensure robust project scope development 
•    Provide project and engineering support to the manufacturing sites including; feasibility studies, business case development, project planning, project implementation, contractor management, and commissioning and training.
•    Prepare layout and process drawings for planning, construction & installation of new equipment and manufacturing facilities
•    Follow internal systems and best practice project management methodologies to execute projects with excellence, meeting time, quality and cost targets
•    Support continual improvement of our procedures and systems, to maintain best practice including Health and Safety, Food Safety and Environmental and Energy management as they relate to this role.

 

About You

The ideal candidate will have: 

•    Minimum 3+ years’ relevant experience within a FMCG food manufacturing industry will be highly regarded
•    Ideally Degree qualification in Engineering or related discipline
•    Highly motivated
•    The ability to work in teams
•    Stakeholder engagement/influencing skills with demonstrated ability to mix professionally, and build effective relationships at all levels internally and externally
•    Hands on project management experience
•    Ability to articulate project scopes into compelling business cases and to present to all levels and at different forums
•    Strong learning agility with the desire to develop and build a career in Project Management
