Maintenance Fitter

  • Rotating shifts with flexible work life balance - 4 ON & 5 OFF, 5 ON & 4 OFF, 5 ON & 5 OFF.
  • Remuneration package of 91K - Includes Penalties + Superannuation.
  • Attractive hourly rate + overtime.

 

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join our Ermington Maintenance team!

In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and improvement of equipment to ensure optimal plant performance, managing planned repairs and unplanned breakdowns effectively while maintaining best practice and safety standards.

 

About You

The ideal candidate will have:
 

  • Trade certification as a Fitter/ Machinist.
  • A safety mindset with a strong commitment to ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
  • Demonstrated experience as an industrial Fitter, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Ability to diagnose equipment issues and identify problems at root cause.
  • The ability to build relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
  • Your forklift license; not mandatory but would be highly regarded.

 

Purpose of the Role

  • Working safely and ensuring the safety of those around you.
  • The delivery of reliable, efficient and safe routine preventative maintenance activities.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with plant and machinery.
  • Responding to breakdowns through prioritising and carrying out repairs in a safe manner.
  • Working with the Maintenance Manager and Supervisors to conduct root cause analysis on failures and ensuring follow up on identified actions.
  • Maintaining all registers, logs and systems to track repairs, notifications and work activities.
  • Liaise with Production Supervisors and machine operators about performance of equipment.
  • Develop & maintain a close and collaborative working relationships across the Maintenance, Production, Planning and Engineering teams.
