We’re looking for a Hygiene Supervisor to lead and manage all hygiene and sanitation activities at our Ermington site. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring our site meets the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and compliance.
As the Hygiene Supervisor, you’ll also act as the 2IC to the Production Manager, playing a vital role in team leadership, contractor coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Purpose of the Role
• Management of effective hygiene and sanitisation activities across the site
• Champion all health and safety requirements, directions and legislation and work in accordance with the company quality systems and other appropriate food safety and quality measures
• Management and coordination of site services including pest control, chemical management, QA pre-requisite programs, GHP & GMP
• Maintain or improve financial performance against budgeted controllable costs
• Ensure effective communication is maintained with all levels and promote an open, inclusive and flexible work environment while complying with all company policies, procedures and directions.
• Effectively liaise professionally with internal and external customers and stakeholders
• Identify and actively promote continuous improvement to product, processes and systems within any facet of the work environment
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
• 3+ years of leadership experience in a hygiene, food safety, or quality role within FMCG
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive continuous improvement
• Experience with SAP, MEX, or similar systems is desirable
