Chilled & Frozen Logistics (Network) Manager

We are currently looking for an experienced Logistics Manager (known internally as Network Manager) to oversee and optimise our network operations. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager-Chilled & Frozen, this role will actively manage all aspects of the Chilled & Frozen third-party Warehouse & Logistics providers, ensuring effective day to day operations and inventory control whilst identifying and working on Network Optimisation strategies and collaborating with key stakeholders across the Tip Top business.

 

This role will be primarily based in Ermington, NSW with weekly travel to North Ryde and regular travel to the Central Coast, NSW & Capalaba, QLD.  


Purpose of the Role
•    Manage all aspects of the third party Warehouse & Logistics providers including adequate storage availability, COR compliance, On time delivery, Root Cause Analysis for transport misses and best practice stock management processes
•    Develop and execute network strategies to optimise logistics operations, reduce costs, and improve service levels
•    Ensure food safety, legality and quality requirements are adhered to including reporting of food safety incidents
•    Supply Network Optimisation through modelling the network variables, sensitivities and scenarios
•    Manage the C&F Supply Chain cost against established budgets and targets
•    Collaboration with Sales & Customer Service to ensure the best route to customer and customer engagement
•    Collaboration with National Supply Chain on Network capacity & planning, standards and requirements
•    Lead & manage inventory control process between C&F business and third parties to ensure data accuracy across all systems
•    Maintain a safe and healthy work environment that does not tolerate unsafe behaviours

 

About You

The ideal candidate will have: 

•    5+ years of relevant experience managing FMCG warehouse/transport and Supply Chain  activities in a FMCG environment (food industry will be highly regarded)
•    Extensive experience SAP, Microsoft Office, Transport Management Systems (TMS)
•    Demonstrated effectiveness in team engagement, cultural change and process improvement
•    Able to provide insight and quickly identify a way forward when presented with issues
•    Demonstrated ability to mix professionally and build effective relationships at all levels internally and externally
