We are seeking a Warehouse and Distribution Manager to lead the full Warehouse and Distribution function at Springwood. You will oversee all shift, product picking, transport and Northern Region depot activities while ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective movement of products across intra and interstate networks. This role is accountable for delivering service excellence, maintaining compliance, and driving continuous optimisation of our warehousing and distribution operations in line with national standards and strategy.

 

You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure all warehouse functions are accurate, timely and well-coordinated. A core responsibility will be leading the team to manage the safe and timely dispatch of all products in accordance with GWF policies and procedures while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and strong engagement across the site.

 

Purpose of the Role

  • Ensure effective and efficient operation of the warehouse and distribution functions, leading and coaching a team of supervisors, pickers, drivers and distributors, fostering a high-performance and inclusive culture
  • Ensure all trucks depart on time and meet Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements
  • Manage rostering, scheduling, labour efficiency and cost performance
  • Drive compliance with health, safety, and food quality standards
  • Oversee linehaul and fleet maintenance, ensuring road safety and service schedules
  • Partner with 3PL providers and internal teams to optimise transport performance
  • Support customer service by resolving delivery issues and complaints promptly
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across distribution processes

 

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience managing warehouse and distribution activities
  • Chain of Responsibility Training
  • Stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to foster an engaging culture
  • Extensive experience in SAP or similar platform, excel and word skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships at all levels internally and externally
