The primary purpose of this position is to provide effective supervision of maintenance activities across our Carrara site.
A hands-on role, whilst providing supervision of a small trades team. This role involves leading the team to plan, coordinate, and execute engineering and maintenance tasks, and ensure that while utilising the available resources, effective decisions are made and executed to minimise equipment downtime and maximise resource utilisation.
Additionally, the role is responsible for driving team engagement and a culture of continuous improvement.
Purpose of the role:
- Ensure daily operation of the plant including Plant, Equipment, Services (ie.Air, Refrig, Boilers, Flour), Building & site services
- Ensure coverage for maintenance related issues and provide timely and effective solutions to plant breakdown situations
- Manage the maintenance team to carry out agreed site work requirements while ensuring resources are optimised
- Allocation & scheduling of work orders (MEX)
- Identify and drive efficiency improvements and cost reductions as well as manager Capital planning and projects as required
- Ensure a safe working environment for all employees; take reasonable care for your own and others health and safety
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar role
- Trade qualified (Mechanical)
- Forklift licence
- Strong ability to build effective internal and external working relationships at all levels
- Demonstrated analytical capability and an ability to effectively problem solve
