Reliability Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Reliability Manager to lead maintenance and reliability at our Capalaba bakery. Reporting to the Site Operations Manager and forming part of the site leadership team, you’ll be responsible for improving plant reliability, ensuring continuity of production and building an engaged, capable maintenance team

 

This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility across a team of 10+, site repairs and maintenance expenditure, preventative maintenance, asset health planning and capital projects. You'll provide the leadership, structure and direction needed to strengthen team capability, improve ways of working and drive reliability outcomes across the site.

 

Purpose of the Role

  • Lead the maintenance and reliability function for our Capalaba bakery
  • Provide leadership, structure and direction to a team of reliability professionals and tradespeople
  • Improve plant reliability, equipment performance and overall operational efficiency
  • Develop and deliver the site Asset Health Plan, maintenance strategy and capital projects
  • Partner with site leadership to improve operational performance and reduce costs
  • Manage maintenance budgets, contractors and site service providers
  • Drive preventative maintenance compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Champion a strong culture of safety, quality and accountability across the site

 

About You

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Proven leadership experience in maintenance, engineering or reliability within a FMCG manufacturing environment, ideally in a food environment
  • Experience leading cultural change, building accountability and developing high-performing teams
  • Advanced people leadership skills with the ability to build capability and engagement
  • A trade certificate in fitting, an electrical licence or a tertiary qualification in engineering
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to lead through operational challenges
  • Experience with automated control systems and PLCs will also be beneficial
