Tip Top Bakeries, (part of George Weston Foods) is looking for an experienced and hands‑on Production Manager to lead our Carrara manufacturing operations. If you’re passionate about people, safety and great product quality and enjoys working through complexities, this is your chance to step into a leadership role within a major FMCG manufacturer.

 

Reporting to the Site Operations Leader, this role will be responsible for all day-to-day production operations and play a key role in supporting the site as it moves through an important phase of reliability and performance uplift, ensuring products are manufactured on time and in full.

 

Purpose of the Role

  • Lead, coach and support Production Supervisors and line teams
  • Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSE requirements
  • Deliver DIFOT, efficiency, waste and labour performance targets
  • Ensure all products meet food safety, GMP and quality standards
  • Partner with Planning and Reliability teams to maximise plant utilisation
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Manage performance processes, development plans and workforce planning

 

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Min 3-5 years’ leadership experience in food manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, food safety systems and compliance standards
  • A hands‑on leadership style with the ability to coach and influence
  • Experience driving cultural change and high-performance environments
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making capability
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
