We’re on the lookout for a Trade Qualified Fitter & Turner to join our high-performing maintenance team. Reporting to the Reliability Supervisor, you will support our maintenance operations and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

 

Roster: Rotating day shifts 2 weeks and then night shifts for two weeks (working 10-12 hours per shift)

 

Purpose of the Role

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs
  • Support production teams to maximise equipment uptime and efficiency
  • Identify and report hazards, incidents, and injuries in accordance with site protocols
  • Adhere to all Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures
  • Maintain machinery and equipment in line with work orders and service schedules
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, legality, and quality standards

 

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Trade qualification as a Fitter
  • 3–5 years’ experience in FMCG, food, or bakery environments (ideal)
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding skills and pneumatic systems knowledge
  • Welding experience (TIG, MIG, Stick) and competent machining skills (Lathe, Mill)
  • A proactive, safety-first mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
