Ready to deliver meaningful capital projects that shape the future of some of Australia’s most loved food brands? Tip Top (part of GWF) is looking for an experienced Capital Projects Engineer to join our Northern Region Engineering Team.

 

Based at our Carrara bakery, as the Capital Projects Engineer, you’ll lead the planning and execution of capital projects across our Queensland bakery network. You’ll take projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring they’re delivered safely, on time, on budget and to specification.

 

This role is hands-on, varied and highly collaborative. You’ll work closely with operations, engineering, procurement, contractors and technical teams to bring smart engineering solutions to life.

 

Purpose of the Role

  • Deliver end‑to‑end capital projects, including feasibility studies, business cases, planning and commissioning
  • Embed strong safety and food safety principles into every project
  • Prepare engineering layouts, process drawings and technical documentation
  • Lead the development of supply contracts in collaboration with the GWF Legal Team
  • Manage contractors, equipment suppliers and external partners
  • Lead cross‑functional project meetings and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Support continuous improvement across engineering standards and systems
  • Drive effective change management to ensure new equipment is successfully adopted at site level

 

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Engineering degree or trade qualified with significant experience in project management
  • 5+ years’ experience in FMCG or food/beverage manufacturing
  • Strong digital literacy with proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with SAP
  • Proven project management capability, from scope to commissioning
  • Experience working with contractors, equipment vendors and multiple stakeholders
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with strong analytical skills
  • Proven ability to influence, communicate and build relationships across teams
  • Willingness to travel and support other Tip Top sites as required
