Afternoon Shift Fitter

Our Springwood bakery is currently looking for a Shift Fitter to join the Tip Top Reliability Team. Reporting to the Reliability Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring you provide high quality maintenance services to the Springwood site, ensuring critical plant reliability and availability, to support consistent optimisation of our branded product to our customers. This role will see you situated within a team that enjoy working together collaboratively to ensure the manufacturing plant operates to a safe and efficient standard. 


The Role
•    Afternoon shift: 12pm – 8pm Mon-Fri
•    Potential for overtime
•    Eligible shift workers will receive 5 weeks annual leave

 

Purpose of the Role
•    Responding to emergency breakdown repairs
•    Reporting all hazards, incidents and injuries
•    Servicing machinery and plant according to schedules and work orders. 
•    Participating in and adhering to all HSE policies, procedures and activities in order to work safely and take reasonable care so as not to expose themselves or others to risk of injury. 
•    Ensure food safety, legality and quality requirements are adhered to.

About You

The ideal candidate will have: 

•    Trade qualified Maintenance Fitter/Turner 
•    Machining & Welding experience required
•    Experience working in FMCG environment, preferably food/pharma will be highly regarded though not essential
•    High level of problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail and decision-making ability
•    Working knowledge of MEX preferred but not essential
•    The ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision
