The Accounts Administrator role is based in Springwood, QLD, supporting the Northern Region and reporting to the Operations Manager. This role acts as the regional SME for the Procure‑to‑Pay process, ensuring the timely raising and receipting of Purchase Orders, resolving PO and invoice queries, supporting site teams and maintaining strong governance across purchasing activities.

 

Purpose of the Role

 

  • Raise and receipt Purchase Orders for engineering, supply chain, linehaul and site overheads across three Northern Region sites
  • Support capital project purchasing and ensure payments align with contract terms
  • Resolve queries and collaborate with Accounts Payable to address invoice issues
  • Monitor PO compliance and generate Tableau reporting, including weekly KPIs
  • Coach and support PO Raisers across the region to maintain strong purchasing hygiene
  • Review and manage Open POs and support GRIR resolution for aged items (>90 days)
  • Maintain accurate records for audit readiness and assist with contractor setup in Beakon
  • Provide general administrative and finance support to Site Leaders and Regional Finance

 

About You

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Previous experience in an administrative role within a professional environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical ability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
  •  Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel essential), with SAP experience desirable
  • Ability to build strong relationships, work autonomously, and deliver quality outcomes
  • Proactive, flexible approach with a high level of initiative
