Due to strong growth and increasing production volumes, we're expanding our operations team and looking for experienced Production Supervisors to join our Night Shift operation at our Dry Creek bakery. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing site, lead high-performing teams and play a key role in supporting increased customer demand.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll lead a team of bakery production employees to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality production outcomes. You'll play a key role in ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, food quality and team performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with Production Planning, Reliability, Quality and HSE teams to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the site.
Shift Options
This opportunity is available across the following night shift patterns (hours may vary slightly based on operational requirements):
Option 1: Sunday to Thursday
- Sunday: 1:30pm - 11:00pm
- Monday: 1:30pm - 11:00pm
- Tuesday: 7:00pm - 3:00am
- Wednesday: 6:00pm - 3:00am
- Thursday: 8:00pm - 4:00am
Option 2: Friday to Monday
- Friday: 5:00pm - 3:30am
- Saturday: 7:00pm - 5:30am
- Sunday: 9:00pm - 7:00am
- Monday: 9:00pm - 7:00am
Purpose of the Role
- Leading and developing production teams to achieve safety, quality and performance targets
- Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with HSE requirements
- Managing labour and production resources to meet daily production plans
- Monitoring production performance, waste and efficiency targets
- Partnering with maintenance and reliability teams to minimise downtime
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across people, processes and systems
- Conducting coaching, performance conversations and team development activities
- Supporting food safety, quality and audit outcomes
- Preparing production reports and ensuring accurate shift handovers
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Min 2+ years’ experience leading teams in a manufacturing, FMCG or food production environment
- Strong planning, problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience managing safety, quality and operational performance
- A continuous improvement mindset
- The ability to build engagement and accountability within teams
